You can delete your Aro Fitness account and all your personal data at any time — or delete just some of your data while keeping your account. This page covers both: how to close your account and erase everything, how to remove specific data, how to do either if you can’t sign in, and what we’re required to keep. Aro Fitness is a brand of ArogyaBridge Pvt Ltd (incorporation in progress), Bengaluru, India.
1. Delete it in the app
The fastest way — it’s immediate and permanent:
- Open the Aro app and sign in.
- Open Settings (tap your profile picture, then Settings).
- Scroll to Delete account — it’s marked apart as a destructive action.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete account to confirm.
Owners: if you own a studio, transfer it to someone else or close it first. For everyone’s protection, an account that still owns a studio can’t be deleted until the studio is handed over or closed.
2. Can’t sign in? Request it
If you’ve lost access to your number and can’t reach the in-app option, email privacy@aro.fitness with the subject “Delete my account” and the registered mobile number on your account. We’ll verify it’s really you before we delete anything, then complete the deletion and confirm by reply.
3. Delete some data, keep your account
You don’t have to close your account to remove data:
- Withdraw a consent in the app. Turn off progress-photo consent or family sharing, or disconnect Apple Health / Health Connect — Aro immediately stops using, and removes its access to, that data.
- Ask us to remove specific records. Email privacy@aro.fitness describing what you’d like deleted, and we’ll action it — usually within a few days, always within 30.
Deleting your whole account (above) removes or anonymizes all of your personal data in one step.
4. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymize:
- Your personal profile — name, mobile number, email, and profile photo.
- Your sign-in link, push-notification tokens, active sessions, and saved consents.
- Your membership in every studio you belonged to — you’re dropped from each one.
- Your account itself, which is anonymized and marked deleted so it can’t be reused.
5. What we keep, and why
A few things outlive the account, only where the law requires it or in a form that no longer identifies you:
- Financial and dues records a studio kept for its own bookkeeping are retained for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires — but de-linked from your identity once your account is gone.
- Content you shared into a studio (for example, a post in a community feed) may remain in that studio’s records in anonymized form.
The specifics of what we store, and for how long, are in our Privacy Policy.
6. How long it takes
Account and data deletion from the app is immediate. Requests by email — whether to delete your account or specific data — are completed within 30 days of us verifying your identity, and usually much sooner.
